Triple-Negative Breast Cancer Research

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women and the second leading cause of cancer death in the United States. Despite widespread use of screening mammography to detect most breast cancers early, triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) has remained a formidable challenge. In close collaboration with a diverse group of scientists and clinicians across multiple academic medical institutions, Dr. Vahdat developed a clinical trial for breast cancer patients who were at an extraordinarily high risk of their tumors coming back.
