World-class care with a local touch
We’re New Hampshire’s only academic health network, providing expert medical care locally throughout Northern New England. Our members include Dartmouth Cancer Center, one of just 51 National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the nation; the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, New Hampshire’s only children’s hospital; and 30 access points throughout the region in community hospitals or clinics. Our supportive caregivers understand that every patient has unique goals and circumstances, and we work with them and their families to provide individualized care that meets their needs. We advocate for the well-being of our community members at the local, state, and national levels.
Cutting-edge research and clinical trials
In partnership with the Geisel School of Medicine, the Thayer School of Engineering, Dartmouth College, and Dartmouth Cancer Center, our physician-scientists are finding new ways to treat, prevent, and cure diseases. As an academic health network, we offer our patients access to life-changing clinical trials—an opportunity not often available to residents of rural regions.
Training the health care leaders of tomorrow
Clinicians who are among the best in their fields teach Geisel School of Medicine MD students and train nearly 400 residents and fellows annually. Through our partnership with Colby-Sawyer College we prepare nurses and other allied professionals for careers in health care.
Partnering with the communities we serve
We engage with community leaders and local organizations to help the people of our region live well and stay healthy—today and for generations to come.
