Educating the Complete Physician

"The art of communicating deeply with the patient is the fundamental of a good physician,” says Roshini Pinto-Powell, MD, associate dean for student affairs. But while the doctor-patient relationship remains at the heart of medicine, physicians today must also work effectively within interprofessional teams, manage the health of diverse populations, and continuously improve the systems in which they work. That ethos is reflected in every class of students at Geisel and in the MD curriculum.
