Fueling a New Hub for Cancer Research

Across Dartmouth and Dartmouth Health, inspired minds are coming together to bring the most promising innovations to patients at Dartmouth Cancer Center and worldwide.

 

Building on a foundation of excellence, the Byrne Family Cancer Research Institute, established through a transformational lead gift by Dorothy Byrne in early 2022, aims to amplify and deliver discoveries through three initiatives: Next-Generation Immunotherapy, Precision Cancer Prevention, and entrepreneurship through the Dartmouth Innovations Accelerator for Cancer.

    Boyoung Ahn ’24 (D ’18) is a fourth-year medical student at Geisel School of Medicine. Ahn, who is from Suwon, South Korea, received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Dartmouth in 2018 before completing a master’s degree in global health at the University of California San Francisco. Ahn plans to pursue a career in internal medicine and geriatrics.
